Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Thalia Burt began harvesting her love for dance, drama and musical theatre from the age of 15, where she began her studies at the Waterfront Theatre School. Thalia is an all-round triple threat as well as a qualified teacher and member or the ISTD (Imperial Society Teachers of Dance) based in the UK.
Thalia has traveled Internationally with Seoul&Co and ‘The Really Useful Groups’ productions of CATS the musical where she has played the role of ‘Tantomile’ and ‘Cassandra’ as well understudy for ‘Sillabub’, ‘Rumpleteaser’ and ‘Bombalurina’. She will soon be leaving the CATS family to embark on a new journey, with the Production of ‘Singing In The Rain’ to tour internationally from February 2015.
Nationally, Thalia has performed leading roles of ‘Ariel’ in the musical Footloose, ‘Cassie’ in A Chorus Line and ‘Ariel’ in The Little Mermaid, as well as the Guilbert and Sullivans production of ‘Guys And Dolls’ at the Artscape Theatre. More recent experience included CATS, Korea and Singapore Tour as well as Singing in the Rain which toured nationally and internationally.
Thalia has done extensive corporate work and has a solid base of TV commercials and Film having featured in the recent ‘Sophia-Grace and Rosie’s Royal Adventure’ as well as featuring in TVC’s such as Caltex, Lays, and Saltwater Girl, to name a few.
Thalia is vibrant and versatile and her love for the arts is shown through her hard work, dedication and passion in which she performs.
