Taryn-Lee began honing her craft in 2003 at The Waterfront Theatre school in Cape Town. Four years later she graduated with an LTCL in musical theatre, LTCL in speech and drama and her advanced 2 in modern dance.
Armed with her academic experience and passion, Taryn-Lee made the move to Johannesburg where she got involved in many aspects of the entertainment industry. This included Corporate and Industrial performance, directing and choreographing Childrens Theatre as well as building up her extensive on stage reputation with shows such as such as ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, ‘Rocking All Over The World’, ‘Kidz Rock’, ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ and ‘The Big 5’. In 2011 Taryn-Lee was presented with the opportunity to study at The New York Film Academy in Manhattan. An experience unlike any other, she was greeted with unique opportunities such as performing at ‘The Players Club’, home to Edwin Booth. After having taken a big bite out of the ‘Big Apple’ she has since decided to return back to her country she loves so much. The prospects for career growth proved far more explosive than Taryn-Lee could ever have imagined as she played the role of ‘Mary’ in the Broadway hit and Tony-Award winning musical ‘Jersey Boys’ as well as the comical Lina Lamount in Singing in the Rain which both toured locally and Internationally.
