Sandile Mahlangu is a young and rising performer. Born and raised in the capital city it exposed him, at the tender age of 4, to the arts. His parents didn’t believe in the arts as a viable career but his passion, dedication and ambition forced their hand in this respect. A young and willing sprit, always ready learn something new, Sandile has worked on countless productions with his high school Pro Arte Alphen Park in the period he spent there (2007-2011).
A former tut student he has performed in many of the musicals and dance seasons that hit the stage from the year 2012 -2014. He has performed in shows like: “Believe in the Magic” (Nkutu Malebye), “Sarafina: In Black and White” (Josias Molele) in the same year at the Breytenbach Theatre as well as at the Soweto Theatre in 2013. Sandile has also been in casts of a few South African premiers E.g. “Legally Blonde” : the musical 2013 , Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5”: the musical and has performed in an original South African work called “Forgiveness” at the state theatre and at the Grahamstown Arts festival 2014.
