Project Description

A blend of seriousness, maturity, hard work and very animated expressions, a little body with a warm voice that fills an auditorium, Noxolo Dlamini is the Girl Next Door. Ready to take on any role she’s faced with.

Born and raised in Soweto, Johannesburg, Noxolo seems to have always known that performing was her calling. Having started performing (acting, dancing and singing) at a young age Noxolo attended the National School of the Arts for two years, she later went to the University of Pretoria where she completed her three year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts. She was trained in Acting, Singing, Movement and Voice Work. She has taken part in a numerous productions, in the University, that have allowed her to explore her love and talent for performing further.

She has worked alongside various professionals such as Standard Banks Young Artist Award Winner for Dance Bailey Snyman, Poet and Director Napo Masheane, Dancer, choreographer and director Anitra Davel and Musical Director Dr. Harold Mortimer from Oklahoma University. While in training Noxolo performed at The University of Pretoria Aula, The Grahamstown National Arts Festival as well as The National State Theatre. In 2014 Noxolo was awarded The Best Female Performer by KykNET at The University of Pretoria Krekvars Student Arts Festival.

In March 2015 Noxolo joined the cast of Disney’s The Lion King Musical West End for a year. It was in London where she discovered her love for Shakespeare and film. She has returned to her hometown and cannot wait to continue her career in television and theatre, where she sees herself taking on roles she’s always dreamt of.
