Originally from Pretoria, Michael realised at a very young age that he wanted to b a performer, since then he has pursued his passion and has let nothing stand in his way. With a eccentric, vibrant personality and undeniable stage presence, Michael’s interest in all facets of the performing arts became much more evident in his later years. He completed his National Diploma in Musical Theatre at Oakfields College in 2015, where he developed his talents and became a very well rounded performer with a very strong work ethic. During his studies he performed in the musical “Hot Mikado” at The State Theatre; “J’Zel” that was performed at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival. His skills include singing, acting and dancing – in which he was formally trained in the styles of Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap and Latin American.
His theatre credits include “Annie” (Teatro and Artscape 2016 – 2017); “Priscilla Queen of the Desert” (Artscape, Teatro, The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts 2017); “West Side Story” where he played the role of Baby John (Artscape 2018); he is currently in “Chicago” The International Tour which has already toured through New Zealand and China (2018 – 2019) and will continue on through South Africa and Germany. His television credits include “Mother City” which he shot in Cape Town and played the role of Peter (2018).
Michael is more determined than ever to make a success of him in all facets of the performing arts industry.
