Mamohato is a 27-year-old alumna of The University of Pretoria. Her BA Drama Degree, together with her talents and drive, have afforded her numerous opportunities to be actress, director, dancer, vocalist, voice-over artist and Mc/ presenter.
The all-round artist has made television appearances with big names on shows such as Sokhulu and Partners 3, Saints and Sinners, Z’bondiwe and Ashes to Ashes. Her theatre background led to her co-directing Ketswakaein 2015 for the Maitisong Festival in Botswana.
Her singing abilities rendered her the opportunity of being directed by Harold Mortimer and Anitra Davel, in the South African Premier ofBat Boy-The Musical. Her love for music has led her to performing with live bands and recording music occasionally with local artists.
Additionally, Mamohato has corporate experience with the likes of Nickelodeon and Viacom International and travelled with them to Nigeria for NickFest Nigeria2017. Moreover, she has worked on Gold Diggers 2 as crew in 2017.
The thespian performed at The National Arts Festival in2012 in The Tale of Qedusizi and the Rhino,by Pieter Human and in 2013 in Go Sana Le Leinaby Micia DeWet. In addition, the dancer has performed in Boys, Bicycles and (no) Boundaries, directed by the 2012 Standard Bank Young Artist Award winner Bailey Snyman. In the year 2015, she danced at the Market Theatre laboratory in a show titled The Calabash Runs Dry, directed by Mduduzi Nhlapho.
With her background in Children’s theatre, she performed in Under the Baobab Tree, with the National Children’s Theatre. Furthermore, as part of her training in Theatre for Development (TFD) and Theatre in Education (TIE) , she has created theatre work performing at local schools and communities.
Mamohato’s theatre background has groomed her tackle every project, event or opportunity with discipline and respect. She takes pride in the work that she does and aims to become one of South Africa’s best artists.
