Cameron’s love for the arts started during his early diaper days, as he sat through rehearsals of productions his mother produced or directed. He then joined the Tshwane Youth Theatre in 2003 and had the privilege of playing lead roles in “Cinderella”, “Snow white and the Seven Dwarfs”, Beauty and the Beast” as well as “Aladdin”. After matriculating in 2008 he just couldn’t see himself with a boring desk job and chose a career in the Arts. He furthered his dream of becoming a triple threat by obtaining his National Diploma in Musical Theatre from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2011. During his studies he performed in productions such as “Assassins”, “The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee”, “Parade” and “Coloured Mecca”.
To date Cameron’s professional experience includes; “Ester The Musical” (The State Theatre) “Charlotte’s Web” (The National Children’s Theatre), “PURR Factory” (The State Theatre), “Dawid the Musical” (The State Theatre), “Dirty Dancing” (Pieter Torien Productions, National and International Tour) “West Side Story” (The Playhouse Theatre, Durban), “Droomkind” (The State Theatre) and this year he can be seen in The Joburg Theatre’s Monty Python’s “Spamalot” as well as Janice Honeyman’s Peter Pan Pantomime. He has also done voice over work for Radio RSG. With talent, passion, determination and an awesome stage presence Cameron is ready to take the industry by storm!
