A sweet smile, the girl with the quirk and an energy that excites are some descriptions of Ansu Visser. Ansu is an actress, dancer, choreographer and writer who obtained her Honors in Drama at the University of Pretoria. Ansu Visser has a deep love for all aspects of performing arts whether she can be part of the production or sit in the audience to view the magic that it entails.
Her performance genres range from children’s theatre, theatre in education, theatre for development, physical theatre, realism and dance. Some of her most memorable performances of her career thus far were portraying Pinnochio, directed by Estelle Zeeman, and a lead role in Go Sa Nne Le Leina (directed by Micia de Wet) that was performed at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival 2013. In 2014 she explored her interest in writing and choreographing. Visser choreographed Mourning Yemen, Between Sheets and a solo piece performed and choreographed by Ansu, Met my (With me). She also performed in a physical theatre production, choreographed by Bailey Snyman which was performed at Detours festival at WITS, and a Physical Theatre production choreographed by Nicola Haskins. In 2015 she entered the Afrikaans channel, Kyknet&Kie, presenter search competition and out of numerous candidates, Ansu was chosen as one of four presenters. She also played a role in Sterlopers, season 2, which aired in February 2016. Ansu has a love for all aspects of the entertainment industry and will strive to always do her best to be the best.
